It's hard to overstate how idiotic these school boards have become.

They operate without common sense or compassion.

Depending on where you live in the country they suck in tremendous amounts for money. Public schools are, inexplicably, supported by real estate taxes. And those taxes go up and up relentlessly far head of inflation rates and certainly faster than salary increases.

What this means if you have retirees paying more in annual real estate taxes than they originally paid on their mortgage, with the predictable result of many having to leave their homes.

Young families with high expenses and low income are also strapped by these tax rates.
