The Real "Vietnam Syndrome" - America's moral amnesia.

Nick Turse's talks with Bill Moyers about his book "Kill Anything That Moves."

The Technocrats who ran the war wanted body counts...by any means necessary.

What did it lead to?

* Captured prisoners ordered killed - to increase the body count
* Unarmed civilians deliberately killed - to increase the body count
* Body count competitions with prizes and penalties - to increase the body count

Engineered for maximum human suffering.

The Right Wing thinks America got "soft" as the result of the Vietnam war. They called it the "Vietnam Syndrome." Americans just didn't support the Pentagon any more.

Reagan and Bush set out to correct it with invasions of Grenada, Panama and Iraq.

Clinton kept it going with non-stops attacks on Iraqi infrastructure and "humanitarian intervention" in the Balkans (and the Left cheered.)

And now we're back at it around the world - with no end it sight.
