If you ever saw the inside of a corporate egg "factory," you'd be surprised that this doesn't happen more often.

In fact, it does. Daily.

It's just that the numbers rarely justify news reports.

It takes a recall of hundreds of millions of eggs to make the headlines.

Corporate factory farms are a health disaster waiting to happen. Like Wall Street banks, they've been allowed too grow to large to be safe or manageable.

As always, money distributed in Washington and state capitals talks about there's not even a hint in the mass media that these factory farms are hazardous - to workers, to consumers and to the communities where they are based.
