Over 1,000,000 soliders have passed through Iraq and Afghanistan.

Only small percentage of them were actually involved in ground operations, but it absolute terms it's a significant number.

Many of these people will bring their violent, sadistic behaviors back to the US and not a small number of them will be hired as law enforcement officers.

It's been recommended that combat veterans be specifically barred from service as peace officers and I think that's a very good policy. Not all of them have recognized the seriousness of the crimes they've committed and we don't need them repeating them here.
