This is a promo on behalf of the nursing profession, but it makes a good point.

The medical industrial complex is willing to spend any amount of money on "technology", but it does everything it can to screw the patient and people who actually work in the industry (doctors included by the way.)

They really do want to put computers in charge of deciding who does and does not get treated and how and this is not really that far off for how it will play out on the ground.
