How come?

Is it because the statute of limitations is up on Wall Street crimes and this former Wall Street lawyer is no longer needed to run interference for his banking clients?

(Do the math. Seven years and if you haven't been prosecuted by then you're home free for certain crimes. 2015 minus 2008 = 7 years. Phew!)

Or does he want to be gone before his operation that funded Mexican drug cartels becomes indictment worthy?
