Who was running the US air defense on September 11, 2001?
Believe it or not, no one can say conclusively, but there sure were a lot of complex (and complicated) war game drills going on that day.
Michael Rupert was one of many people who looked into this question.
He died (at a relatively young age) just two years ago.
One of the biggest challenges facing the 9/11 conspirators was to shut down the multi-billion dollar air defense system.
This is not an easy thing to do because there are procedures, personnel and equipment (fighter jets) in place to rapidly take down any threats to the nation.
There were all shut down while little George Bush was held in custody by the Secret Service and then flown aimlessly all over the country.
Here's a video from Barry Zwicker, a Canadian on this topic.
