Here are the facts. Make of them what you will.
The area now known as the United States is studded with THOUSANDS of "Indian mounds", some of the as large as Egyptian pyramids. (Thus calling them "mounds" is not quite accurate.)
Found among these mounds were some exquisitely beautiful artifacts, some made with technologies that are still not understood (similar to objects found in Egypt.)
Here's the strange part.
In the 1800s, there were scores and scores of stories from all over the country that had the same plot:
1, A mound was dug into
2. Artifacts and skeletons (some indicating people 7 and 8 feet tall and taller) were uncovered
3. The skeletons were put on local display and written about in local newspapers
4. The Smithsonian Institute showed up to take them back to Washington DC
Here's the catch: The Smithsonian says it doesn't have any of the skeletons described.
Where did they go? And why are they missing?
