Denying the facts, bowing to the rhetoric
After the tragic death of two NYPD police officers at the hands of a police brutality protest sympathizer, some people have taken to the streets to "protest the protesters".
These anti-protest activists display their complete lack of empathy and decency by wearing "I Can Breathe" T-shirts, mocking the devastating last words of Eric Garner.
Could the senseless murder of two NYPD officers really discredit an entire movement based on the killing of thousands of unarmed people by police hands?
Somehow I think not.
Despite the tragedy of the death of the officers, the power of law enforcement must be checked in the face of so many police killings without trial for the officers involved.
