A documentary about the Vietnam War released in 1974 which won the Academy Award of 1975.

Stanley Kubrick borrowed a lot from it ("Full Metal Jacket" '87) and so did Oliver Stone ("Platoon" '86 and"Born on the Fourth of July" '89)and Francis Ford Coppala ("Apocalypse Now" '79.)

None of them came close to touching its impact.

Features interviews with Daniel Ellsberg, William Westmoreland, Senator Fullbright and several then-young veterans.
