Nearly a year later "Russia" is still the only topic on CNN and MSNBC.

What's going on?

I think it's a media coup d'etat.

When there was a coup in Russia in the 1980s, there was no broadcast news.

Instead the TV player soccer matches and operas.

I can't help but think that is what is going on now.

No news. No real issues. Just an endless soap opera.
