The aspects of this hip hp that make it to the "big time" emphasize "n*gger" this and "gansta" that, reckless behavior and violence.
In reality, grass roots hip hop started out as and still has a strong community, political and even moral element, but this manifestation of the music rarely if ever makes it to the radio.
Is this just a coincidence? An accident of public demand?
